Carter is a Registered Massage Therapist with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Kinesiology and Health Science. Prior to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist, Carter worked as a Kinesiologist in a multidisciplinary clinic, collaborating with healthcare professionals to support rehabilitation, injury prevention, and long-term physical function.
Having played soccer and rugby, Carter developed a strong appreciation for human performance and resilience. Personal experience with sports-related injuries contributed to a focused academic path in Kinesiology. Carter continued professional development in health & wellness by enrolling in a Massage Therapy program where extensive hands-on clinical experience was gained through supervised student clinic placements at various locations including Toronto General Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital and Lyndhurst Centre at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. During this time, Carter provided assessment-based treatments to a diverse client population, addressing musculoskeletal pain, postural dysfunction and stress-related conditions.
As a RMT, Carter integrates clinical reasoning, therapeutic exercise principles, and hands-on manual therapy to help clients manage pain, recover from injury, and move with greater ease.
